Need an artist statement? A professional bio? A press release for your upcoming show? Let me write it for you.
And by "artist" I mean ALL creative types: painters, sculptors, actors, singers, photographers. Whatever your knack is, I'll write about it.
1. I'm not you . I'm an objective voice whose goal is to weave your artistic intent into a meaningful context.
.
2. I'm not a critic. The world has enough of them. I prefer to help you make your work sound as good on paper as it is in real life.
3. My B.A. in Art History says I know what I'm talking about. I don't claim to be a scholar, but I am an informed enthusiast.
But why on earth should you trust me to write about your work?
4. I'm a marketing maven with over six years of experience making things sound pleasing and desirable.
5. You're the boss of me . I do the legwork, but we'll work closely to perfect your artist statement, press release, or what have you.
6. People like me . If my word isn't enough to convince you, perhaps one from a happy customer will.

Does your copy need saving? Let me take the reigns.
Clear and concise writing is mandatory in our sensory-overloaded world. No one has the time to make sense of longwinded, convoluted text.
My approach to writing combines clarity , simplicity and empathy . I can provide thoughtful content for your target audience, including website copy, brochures, press releases, Facebook fan pages, etc.
I also have an editor's eye for detail.
Could your screenplay, PowerPoint presentation, college thesis, cover letter, or recipe book benefit from a good edit? Perhaps you've reached that point in your project where all objectivity is lost?
Send it over. Sometimes all you need is a fresh pair of eyes and good, honest feedback to get you on the right track.
Let me help you get your point across. Contact me for more information.
No time to blog? Let me write your posts.
Your blog is your bullhorn in our crowded social sphere. It is the conversation nurturer between you and your clients, cronies and/or critics. It is your platform for gaining thought-leader status in your field, practice, or whatever it is you do and stand for.
However, composing a quality post takes a lot of time, talent and thought -- all coveted commodities that aren't always available to us when it's time to write that next post.
Here's where I come in.
With over six years in the marketing world, I bring an arsenal of tricks to educate and entertain your audience. From marketing trends to healthy eating habits, I've authored helpful tips, how-tos, and product reviews across many different topics.
With your insight and my research, I can get up to speed on virtually any topic quickly and easily. I'll also write in a style that mimics your personal or corporate voice.
Basically, I do all the dirty work and you take all the credit for it. Sounds like a dream come true to me.
What are you waiting for? Make me your personal blogger. Contact me today.
A seasoned Freelance Writer.
Over the past seven years I've written work statements and bios for many types of artists, as well as artist retrospectives and catalogue copy for local art galleries. I've worked on grant proposals for individual artists, and local arts non-profit organizations. My services also extend to copywriting projects for local businesses, including a corporate law firm and a Pediatrics practice.
An experienced Marketing Consultant.
I also have over six years of Marketing experience working with B2B technology companies, producing website content, email promotions, blog posts, social media copy etc. All of this in addition to designing and managing lead generation campaigns, product launches, and integrated social media programs.
Art and Information Technology?
Life has a way of opening doors for you that may seem out of context at the time, but turn out to be just what you needed. The tech world was my entrée into Marketing, and a natural stepping stone in my career.
By working with various IT companies I've proven there is very little that I can't write about. And as a marketer in this social media driven world, I've become more in tune with how to engage diverse audiences across professions and industries.
Want to learn more about what makes me tick? Check out my passions page.
A love for art.
Art History is my high school sweetheart--a love affair that began in a Humanities class my junior year. Perhaps it's human nature to fall in love with what you lack, and visual expression was something I could never do (well), but most certainly admired.
This is the reason why my love for art is so tightly tied to the people who create it. It pleases me to have a hand in building a relatable context for the artist's vision.
A gift for writing.
I'm a self-professed word nerd who obsesses over finding the perfect way to express a thought. I regard writing as more of a vital organ than a passion. It is my blank canvas on which to work through ideas, tackle challenges, and uncover meaning.
One of the reasons why I enjoy writing for others is the time I get to spend in my client's headspace. Getting to know someone by writing for or about them is a unique and rewarding process. I'm able to briefly occupy and learn from a world that is different from my own.
A knack for marketing.
Marketing comes naturally to me. It channels my tendency to see the world from the perspective of others. I approach marketing with intuition and empathy for what resonates with people. I have no patience for preaching or browbeating.
Marketing has also made me a better writer. It wasn't all that long ago when social media blew up and changed the way we communicate. Our buzzing social sphere forces us to say what we mean, to mean what we say, and to say it thoughtfully.
Okay, enough about me. I want to hear from you now.
